The blizzard made its appearance! After a long anticipated arrival, Colorado's forecasted blizzard hit the north side of Colorado Springs. 8-12 inches of snow fell and covered the streets in a way we have not seen in years. It was wonderful.

It's a, "Snowpocalypse!" This week many people were expecting a huge blizzard to hit the Front Range today and tomorrow. I have no idea how the weather is up in Denver, but down in Colorado Springs it is an ordinary snow day.

Snow has been falling for the past few hours, and it is absolutely beautiful to behold. It is resting in the trees and on rooftops, and it is gathering along the ground in a soft white blanket. I am not sure whether to attribute the quiet to the snow or to the forecast, but either way it is delightful to stand outside and hear the wind.

I am nearing the day when this website will go live. It's exciting, and at the same time I am nervous about how it will be received. If you have known me for a while, you know that I prefer to be a reserved person in public. To be clear, I can also be a diva at times, but my general demeanor is calm and reserved. With that said, I have never really wanted to be a public figure, and the thought of being on the internet is not my favorite thought to have. I am mostly publishing this page, in order to eventually be a self employed individual.

Working for big business doesn't bother me. In fact, I have often fantasized how straightforward my life would be if I could work for a business long term. Working for big business seems like the avenue to take, and I have heard many friends tell me that I ought to be there. Unfortunately, I don't fit or perhaps I haven't figured out how to market myself to big businesses. Either way, I have decided to create this online portfolio of sorts in the hopes that my path will soon become clear. I have many interests, and many ideas of how I could be self employed, and I have some holdouts and some apprehension about this journey.

Ultimately, I think that everyone has a place where they can do excellent work, and I want to find the place where I can do excellent work.
